There are many methods for measuring liquid level in airtight vessels. Commonly used are magnetic flip-plate level gauges, double flange differential pressure transmitters, single flange differential pressure transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, and radar level gauges. Wait.
In some environments, the magnetic flap type level gauge is very easy to lose its magnetism and cause malfunction; the radar type level gauge has high accuracy, but the investment is large. Frequent removal of false signals; differential pressure transmitters have low cost, high measurement accuracy and few interference sources, so the principle of differential pressure is often used to measure the liquid level in a closed container.
2. Single flange type liquid level sensor.
There are two types of single-sided flange transmitters: plug-in and flat flanges. The measurement principles and installation methods of the two transmitters are basically the same, but the difference in process conditions has a great impact on the measurement data. As an example, the steam condensate flash bucket in the salt industry (see Figure 1), A is the steam condensate feed, B is the flash steam outlet, C is the installation location of the single flange transmitter, and D is the steam condensate In the discharge pipeline, E is the pressure point of the negative pressure side of the single-flange transmitter.
When point A is perpendicular to the tangent line of the barrel, the water in the barrel will not produce eddy currents, but when point A falls, the water column will affect the pressure measurement at point C, resulting in instability of the pressure side measurement data of the single-flange transmitter; if A When the point falls, the water in the barrel will produce eddy currents, no matter where the point C is, it will cause the instability of the pressure side measurement data of the single-flange transmitter. In view of the flash efficiency of steam condensate, the inlet method with point A parallel to the barrel tangent direction is generally adopted, so that vortices will inevitably be generated in the barrel, so the selection of the transmitter is very important.
Since the influence of water flow on pressure was not noticed during the selection, the selected cartridge single-flange transmitter was often put into use after the liquid level was often low. Due to the inaccuracy of the liquid level gauge, the regulating valve that automatically adjusts the liquid level cannot be normal. Putting into use, only relying on the operator to observe the glass tube level gauge on the spot to adjust the liquid level in the barrel, not to mention the increased workload, the liquid level control is not good, and the flash efficiency is low, which has a great impact on production.
